Bracket clock made by B.Stumbels of London (Piazza Covent Garden). Fully restored double fusee movement (anchor escapement), strikes the hour. Also signed on backplate. Bezaleel Stumbels (mentioned in Baillies, London 1762), son of the famous William Stumbels of Aveton Gifford, Devon, is recorded as working in London, 1760-1776; born 1728, died 1786.
