An early mini balance wheel Lantern Clock, alarm, 30 h., England circa 1660. 

A fine, important and catchy early mini English lantern.  This 17th century lantern clock works with a balance wheel escapement, alarm on a bell with central alarm setting disk. The dial is decorated with floral engravings, the alarm disk ornate with a rosette. Clock with a single steel hand. Chapter ring with Roman numerals. Above the dial and on the sides are decorative pierced frets. The going and striking trains are weight-driven. Duration: 30 hours. By its seize and period a very particular clock.

Belangrijke en aantrekkelijke mini lantaarn klok. Deze lantaarn uit de zeventiende  eeuw heeft een balans wiel echappement, wekker met centrale instelschijf. Uurwerk met één stalen wijzer. De wijzerplaat heeft florale decoraties en de wekkerschijf is versierd met een rozet. De frets zijn decoratief open gezaagd. Gaande werk en wekker op gewichten. Looptijd: 30 uur. Door het formaat en periode kijken we naar een zeer uitzonderlijke klok.
