A superb and very rare Louis XVI patinated and gilt bronze mantle clock of eight day duration, signed on the white enamel dial Viger a Paris, date circa 1775 and likewise on the movement and numbered 904. The white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with a fine pair of gilt brass hands for the hours and minutes. The high quality movement with anchour escapement, silk thread suspension, striking half and full hours on a single bell with outside count wheel. Paris date circa 1775. Height 40cm, width 38cm and the depth 19cm.
