A FINE EMPIRE GILT-BRONZE MOUNTED MAHOGANY CONSOLE TABLE, CIRCA 1815
With a rectangular PORTOR marble top above a frieze centred by gilt-bronze griffin mounts flanked on one side by Minerva, on the other side by Juno, both goddesses depicted with their attributes, all on columnar supports mounted within a gilt-bronze stiff-leaf cast capital and base, on an inverted breakfront plinth,mirrored back.
