Miniature Türmchenuhr, Germany, probably Augsburg, ca. 1630.

This small Türmchenuhr, also called a tabernacle clock, has a fire-gilded case and silver dials. The dials are decorated with enamel, dial has Roman numerals. Clock with two winding holes at the back,  one hand to dicate hours. The going train has been converted to a pendulum. Striking mechanism on a bell. In the Renaissance, Türnchenuhren belonged to the wealthy citizens and were mainly built in Germany.

Miniatuur Türmchenuhr, Duitsland, waarschijnlijk Augsburg, ca.1630.

Deze kleine Türmchenuhr, ook wel tabernakelklok genoemd, heeft een vuurvergulde kast en zilveren wijzerplaten. De wijzerplaten zijn  voorzien van emaille decoraties en Romeinse cijfers. Klok met twee opwindgaten achteraan, wijzerplaat met urenwijzer. Het gaand-werk is omgebouwd naar slinger. Slagwerk op een bel. In de Renaissance behoorde Türnchenuhren bij de welgestelde burgers en werden voornamelijk in Duitsland gebouwd.
