Fascinating and rare nautical theme clock, automaton from the Industrial Series, Guilmet, France c.1880-1890.

This clock is a particularly well executed timepiece and displays a remarkable range of information. This industrial clock is an imaginary rotating brass buoy - lantern. Between four columns – carrying a dome/canopy -  are two Guilmet clocks, dials with Roman numerals, two more dials one to display the  temperature, another dial to display the barometric pressure.  The clock has an 8 day movement. A large compass is at the top under the canopy. The clock is equipped with nautical-navigation symbols: a buoy and anchor, pulley and coiled rope. The base is of dark marble. H 49 cm, diameter 24 cm.

Fascinerende en zeldzame nautische thematieklok, automaat uit de Industriële Serie, Guilmet, Frankrijk, ca.1880-1890.

Deze klok is een bijzonder gemaakte klok die een opmerkelijke hoeveelheid informatie weergeeft. Deze industriële klok is een denkbeeldige messing boei - lantaarn. Tussen vier kolommen – die  de  koepel / troonhelmel dragen - zijn twee Guilmet klokken,  wijzerplaten met Romeinse cijfers, twee andere wijzerplaten, één om de temperatuur weer te geven, één om de barometrische druk weer te geven. De klok heeft 8 daags uurwerk. Een groot kompas bevindt zich bovenaan onder de overkapping. De klok is uitgerust met nautische - navigatiesymbolen: een boei en anker, katrol en opgerolde kabel. De basis is van donker marmer. H 49 cm, diameter 24 cm.
