An early 18th c. rare and probably Brabant trunk clock ('s Hertogenbosch?). Dated on an attached recent label: '+- 1700'.

  • The movement with anchor escapement, alarm and striking trains. The clock strikes the hours -full- and half hours -one strike- on one bell.
  • Paintings on dial and case depicting biblical subjects, 'The Four Evangelists' on the dial and 'Samson slays the lion' on the trunk.
  • Former collection J. L. Sellink. Some restorations to the case and dial paintings.
